Absolutely stunning ceramic egg made by Wayne Galloway. Wayne researched the guillemot egg and has smokefired these pieces using locally sourced feathers and horse hair to create beautiful patterns. He has also used gold leaf. The egg has a very slight blue tint in areas.

The egg is hollow and has a tiny clay bead inside. It sits on a plinth of fired unglazed clay giving the impression of the rock ledge that guillemots would lay their eggs on.

The egg measures approx 5.5cm at the widest point at the base and approx 9.5cm tall,

The plinth is approx 13cm at the widest point of the irregular shape by approx 10cm.
